Only After the Rain

Installation commissioned by Instituto Inhotim and opened in October 2024 on the lake near the True Rouge Gallery: twenty five-metre sculptures that hover over the surface of the water, in dialogue with reflection and murkiness. To conceive it, the artist immersed herself in the Serra da Capivara, in Piauí, studying the writing found in the site’s drawings and carvings; the drawings made during the trip were later translated into iron.

This is where her research on the paxiúba began, its roots and its relationship with flooded environments leading the artist to the floodplains of the Amazon. That same year, Flutuantes was shown at the 38th Panorama da Arte Brasileira at MAC USP.
